About WLPZ 95.1fm: WLPZ 95.1fm is a non-profit, community-driven radio station dedicated to serving the diverse needs and interests of our local community. We provide a platform for independent voices, local artists, and important community discussions. As a free, volunteer-based radio station, we rely on the dedication and talent of individuals like you to create a vibrant and engaging radio experience.

Responsibilities:

• Host a weekly DJ set or talk show segment, providing entertaining and informative content to our listeners.
• Select and curate music playlists according to your chosen genre(s), or prepare engaging topics for discussion-based talk shows.
• Conduct interviews with local artists, community leaders, or individuals with unique stories and perspectives.
• Engage with listeners through phone calls, social media, and other interactive platforms.
• Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to ensure smooth operation and high-quality broadcasts.

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for radio, music, or engaging discussions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• A broad knowledge of different music genres or expertise in specific areas of interest for talk shows.
• Basic technical proficiency with radio broadcasting equipment (training available if necessary).
• Availability for a minimum of one weekly shift, with flexible scheduling options.
